Etosha is a romantic open air ballroom, where you are able to look up and gaze at the stars. How romantic is that! It is set in an African, tropical paradise. The owners are Alex (Alex0075) and Bridgette (Bridgette Dalgleish) Etosha. Every time I have been there, I have seen them dancing the night away. They are a very friendly couple and I am always warmly welcomed. The evening can be started by taking a self-guided Venetian Gondola ride through the jungle, and there is also a self-guided balloon tour if you would like to explore from above.
I had a chat to Alex and he told me that Etosha was formed on the 15th October 2015. This happened after Alex got banned from the club that him and Bridget were frequenting and saw as their home club after the two of them met. They began their search for another romantic dance place to spend time together. After searching and not finding what they were looking for, they decided to start their own dance spot on the homestead that they owned. They were enjoying the place so much that they decided that they would love to be able to share it with other people, and this is how Etosha was born. Alex and Bridget had given themselves the name Etosha from the moment that they met. Etosha is a huge game reserve in Namibia in real life, they decided to use this African theme, and they added animals and gave it a beautiful tropical environment.
Bridget built the building with the dance floor, and Alex added all the plants, trees and animals. He bought the gondola and made the river. It is on this river that you can take the gondola ride.
After having the club for a while, they started getting very frustrated because it seemed that no one was coming; at that stage they were using DJ’s and live singers. They then decided to get their own stream, and now they they have the stream playing there. Bridget added all the songs. Eventually people started coming, and now they have between 400 and 600 people visiting Etosha on a daily basis. On the 04 November 2018 they had 530 visitors. They chose some of the best and most romantic dances for the intan that you can find in SL.
They also have dance pads which are very popular for the singles to dance on.
Alex’s philosophy about a successful club ‘is to have a beautiful venue where people feel themselves at home, and want to stay with beautiful music which is pleasant to listen to.’
Etosha has a wonderful atmosphere and the people are friendly. It is a great place to meet and make friends. So if you feel like you would like a nice chat or dance, hop on over. I would recommend this place for singles and couples. Etosha is pg rated.
The music is slow and romantic, and there are some private dance and cuddle spots if you would prefer to slip off and have some quiet time.
Dress:
The guests of Etosha are to dress appropriately, as the club is strictly pg rated. Appropriate to them means that all vital body parts are covered. That does not mean that you can’t wear any sexy clothes, but they need to be tasteful.
Wedding Venue:
Ethosha is also a wedding venue and they provide the whole package. Alex does the ceremony, as he has done theological studies in rl. Bridget is a professional photographer and she built a beautiful wedding venue. They will also arrange a DJ for the party.
