Today I want to share this catsuit and beautiful necklace that I picked up for Free at this month’s FaMeshed event. The event runs every month from the 1st till the 25th of each month, and to get the gift you need to be part of the group. The group is free to join, and there a a couple of other gifts that you can collect too.

Halloween is almost upon us and there are lots of spooky sims to explore. Here are some that I would recommend that you go and see before the month ends.
Red’s Haunted Mainland Tour
Red Fire (robinleia)’s haunted tour is a must see, with spooks, zombies and monsters galore; and Kraken … which is a ‘have to take a ride on’ roller-coaster. Must admit that we went more than once.
The tour includes a maniac with a chain saw, a swamp, the asylum, the graveyard and the haunted mansion and even more in between. Be prepared to get your fright on, and maybe even take a chill pill before you head on out. The tour is best viewed at Midnight, so have your sound up high to get the full experience.

I am so grateful to her, as she used lots of her valuable time giving me some pointers on SL photography. As you can probably tell, my photos still are nowhere near her high quality standard.

I chatted to Red, and she told me this about herself , ‘Red Fire (robinleia): I build sets and choreograph dances..I work with a dance team and we do shows in SL. I also work in the concert circuit doing performances. These are avi performances, not live singing.’, but she is planning on singing live some time in the future.
Ironwood Hills is an experience event, where you are armed with your flashlight and a tablet.
Upon arrival, start with poking the ghost that’s standing outside the church, you will be given a folder containing a flashlight, the HUD, and a notecard. Wear the HUD and accept the experience key. If you do not allow the experience the game may not run correctly (I have done this many times and have never been hacked, it is completely safe). Read the first page on the tablet/HUD and walk into the church toward the coffin.
Then the adventure begins. Your tablet (HUD) is the key to discovering clues and seeing your progress through the story. There is a group that you can join and this can be useful if you get stuck.
Once you have completed the game you return to the start area and there you can collect your prizes, these have been contributed by some amazing designers. These prizes are available even if you haven’t done the game … but you are missing out on lots of fun!!

Octoberville Shirt, Men’s and woman’s size
Is my Octoberville shirt which I am really proud of. You can find it at Octoberville, which is an event I blogged about a few weeks ago. Have a look at the post here. When you arrive at the sim you will be given a folder that contains a HUD and this needs to be worn. The shirt is in a chest that is hidden somewhere on the sim. If you can’t find it, maybe go and have a drink and think about where this could possibly be. When you find the chest you will be asked a question. The answer can be found by looking through http://www.Octoberville.com blog post. (Or if you are really stuck, contact me and I will give you some clues).
Truths VIP gift for October is this really Batty hair style, and that’s just what it is called … Batty. Just perfect for Halloween. The Truth group costs 350L to join but worth it as all VIP’s get free hair every month, and all hair comes with all colours and as you can see in the photo many different styles with each. I chose a really wacked out style to fit in with my shirt and Octoberville. You are able to choose different colours for the left and right. The bat colour can also be changed.
Getting started in SL can be quite a challenge if you have 0 Lindens and not sure where to begin. The current trend in SL is to have a bento mesh body and mesh head. This can cost a pretty penny and most newbies, (and others) are not certain that paying real money is worth the cost of looking good in pixels. This blog is about freebies, group gifts and help for new SL residents, Newbies or Noobs are they are called too. I hope that this will help the older SL residents that would like to try out mesh.
I have found a couple of freebie places in SL that are perfect for newbies who are wanting to sort out their avatars with 0 Lindens. New Resident Island is for the classic avis, and here you can get a good start. Here is a layout of the Island and all they offer.
Ajuda Brazil SL has everything you need to get started in SL, with a newer feel. Clothing, shoes, hair, full avatars etc. I stumbled along this sim when trying to assist a new SL resident that wanted to sort out his avi. Personally I find this a daunting task, and it takes me hours, (unlike my bestie Gina who has the knack for finding great deals and is able to take a new avi from zero to hero quickly.)
If you are wanting to jump straight into mesh, Atamura has free Men’s and Women’s Mesh Bodies, including a mesh head at Ajuda Brazil SL;.this is a really generous gift. The woman’s mesh body is called Valentina, and Maitreya clothing seems to fit nicely. The men’s mesh gift is called Max. Please don’t arrive there naked cause you will get banned.

If you are able to scrounge 50$L together you can join the Altamura Group and they have quite a few group gifts scattered around the shop, then you will have a few mesh bodies and heads to play with, it’s well worth joining the group.

The Cabin stands alone on a quiet street. Is it fate that your car breaks down outside or is it some unsuspecting evil force? It turns out that your cell phone has no signal and the only solution is to seek for help inside. It takes courage to approach the house and knock on the door. Peering inside you see a phone and relief washes over you. Help it seems is only a phone call away. When you get no answer to the knock on the door, you try the door and find it open. Looking around to make sure no one is watching you step inside making your way to the phone. Raising the phone to your ear, you discover that it is dead and it’s at this point that the door slams. Dropping the phone and rushing to door you find that you are locked in with no chance of escape. Will you be able to solve the mystery of the cabin and free yourself?
The Cabin is one of Mad Pea newest interactive ‘The Escape Room’ games. . When touching the door you are given a HUD to wear, which monitors your progress, and you will be prompted to allow experiences; this is completely safe to do. Once inside you have an hour to solve the mystery and escape. I must admit it’s a great help to do this with friends, but the nice thing is that if you don’t manage it in an hour you are able to try again and again and again ….
This is one of Mad Peas take home games and the whole game can be purchased and rezzed on your land. Cost to purchase the whole build costs 1999L$. This can be purchased from the MarketPlace or at MadPea’s main store.

Nice but Naughty September 2018 group gift is a wall tattoo that contains an adult menu. The wall tattoo can be changed to suit your latest mood, or whatever location you would like to place it in, it sure is nice but naughty!!
